My name is Nacho Trueba — I’m 28, born and raised in Spain, and I live for capturing the rush of action sports through a lens.
My journey into photography started at 13, back when I was skating every day and wondering who the wizards were behind the epic skateboarding photos and videos I saw in magazines and online. That spark of curiosity never left. A few years later, I swapped the board for a downhill bike, riding with friends and snapping photos for fun — until the fun became a full-time calling.
Today, I specialize in crafting visual stories for some of the biggest names in the cycling and mountain biking world — brands like Specialized, Mondraker, Cannondale, Santa Cruz, Smith Optics, Camelbak, Crankbrothers, 7Mesh, and Red Bull. I also shoot for ski brands like Nordica and Scott, blending work with one of my personal passions: the mountains.
On the technical side, I shoot photos with a Canon R5 and a solid collection of prime and zoom lenses, using both flash and continuous lighting depending on the vibe. For film, I roll with a RED Komodo 6K, DJI Mavic 3, and DJI RS3 Pro — gear that lets me capture fast-paced moments with cinematic precision.
These days, I’m deep into product shoots, but I’ve spent years chasing the intensity of live events and races — and I thrive in that pressure.
At the end of the day, I’m all about movement, emotion, and telling raw, real stories — frame by frame.
